Referees for Recreational and PDP Soccer Programs

Referees for Recreational & PDP Soccer Programs

To be a referee for Willamette United FC this fall, you will need a Grade 8 license. You must take a class to receive the license. We like our referees to be a couple of years older than the age group they are refereeing.

You may take a class with the Oregon Referee Committee which offers classes through-out the year. For a list of referee licensing classes coming up in 2017/18, please visit the Oregon Referee Committee's website www.oregonreferee.com

*Note that there is an online course you must complete before your first day of class, and you must complete a concussion certification online course. Those details are all on the ORC website.

Once you have received your Grade 8 Referee license, you will be able to sign up to referee fall Recreational & PDP games for the Willamette United Soccer Club. The club uses a self-assigning program through Oregon Soccer Central, www.OregonSoccerCentral.com

Please send an e-mail to heather@willametteunitedfc.com and let us know you have earned your license and registered with Oregon Soccer Central. The club's Referee Director, Heather Combs, can answer questions and will help mentor referees during the fall season.

The Grade 8 Referee class & registration costs $85. There is an online course you MUST take before attending the first day of classroom instruction so please plan ahead. Details are on the Oregon Referee Committee website.

The 2017 referee payscale for center and assistant referees is located on the Oregon Soccer Central website. During the fall season, we will also pay you a bonus of $50.00 if you referee at least 10 games.
